Transforming a Family Legacy

Rochinha S&A House was born from the clients’ desire to preserve childhood memories and honor the moments shared with their grandparents. This single-family home represents more than just a house; it is a life project that pays homage to the past, respecting its roots while adapting to the needs of modern life.

With a fresh perspective on the interior, the project endowed the home with spacious areas and redefined spaces to maximize comfort and functionality. Expanding and reorganizing the layout allowed for the utilization of previously unused areas, creating brighter and more integrated spaces.

Balancing Tradition and Modernity

Every detail of Rochinha S&A House reflects a deep commitment to the home’s history and the family’s values. From the restoration of the iconic wooden shutters typical of Madeira to the refurbishment of the stone façade and the preservation of the original roof tiles, each element was carefully maintained to preserve the authenticity of the structure. At the same time, modern touches were introduced to bring new possibilities to this living space.

This home stands as a testament to a renovation project where tradition and modernity coexist harmoniously, providing a space that respects the past while embracing the future with a fresh perspective.

With more than 18 years of experience in this area that she finds passionate, she is happy to have been able to follow her dream and spend the rest of her life doing what she really loves to do. She invested additional training in the areas of acting and 3D animation, firstly because she found it a fascinating area and at the same time it allowed easier communication between the designer and the client.

I DON'T LIKE ROUTINES DESPITE THAT I ADMIT THAT THEY HELP A LOT TO FIND BALANCE, BUT I'M VERY HAPPY THAT EVERY DAY I CAN HAVE DIFFERENT CHALLENGES AND WORK ON INSPIRING PROJECTS.
